WOODWORKING COURSE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

I always do my best to make your woodworking experience as stress free and enjoyable as possible. Please find below everything laid out in black and white for clarity.

These terms are in addition to the those of my online shop.

1. Age restrictions.  I only permit persons who are aged 18 or over to attend my courses.

2. Making a booking. Course fees must be paid in full before the start of the course unless we have agreed an alternative arrangement. I will confirm your course place by email once payment is received. You can book by email, using our website or by phone.

3. Pricing. All prices on my website are in pounds sterling. Course prices may be altered or amended, but not once you have already booked. 

4. What is included.  My charges are for the course attendance and any included materials only. Travel to the course, food and drink and all other expenses are your responsibility unless I expressly state otherwise in our course booking information for the particular course or event.

5. Use of equipment. I provide woodworking tools and materials for use during the course.  They may not be removed from my workshop without permission.

6. Course content. I try to provide a realistic overview of course content on my website but I reserve the right to make changes to it.

7. Accuracy of information. I try to ensure that all information on my website about the courses I provide are correct.  Any typographical, clerical or other error is subject to correction without any liability on our part. 

8. Changing attendees.  I am willing to accept a change of attendee of your booked course  provided I receive details of the new attendee at last 10 working days before the course start date.

9. Changing course.  I am willing to change your booking to an alternative course only if there is a place available. If the course is of greater value then you will need to pay the difference.

10. Course withdrawal. I reserve the right to withdraw a course if there are insufficient numbers of attendees or to postpone a course if I am ill or indisposed or in other exceptional circumstances.  If I do so, I will offer you a full refund of the amount paid for the withdrawn or postponed course or invite you to choose another available course.

11. Cancellation terms. To cancel or alter your booking, you must notify us via email that you wish to do so.  All refunds for cancelled course bookings will be made within 14 days of receiving them from you or within 14 days of us receiving notice of cancellation from the person making the booking. Once a course has started if you cannot continue to attend, no refund will be given.

  • Cancellation not less than 28 days before the course start date / event date: a full refund will be given.
  • Cancellation not less than 10 days before the course start date / event: a 50% refund will be given.
  • Cancellation less than 10 days before the course start date / event date or non-attendance: no refund will be given.

12.Gift vouchers. Gift vouchers and bookings made with gift vouchers are non-refundable. Once a booking has been made using a voucher it cannot be changed and is non-refundable. If a gift voucher has expired or has already been used it cannot be redeemed. A gift voucher cannot be exchanged for cash or partially redeemed and change given. 

13.Missed sessions. Courses take place at the stated time each week, if you cannot attend a class, even if you inform me in advance, then it is your responsibility. If you miss a session it is sometimes possible to make up the time on another teaching night, though this is not guaranteed. 

14.Medical conditions.If you have any medical conditions or take any medications that might affect your ability to work with tools and machinery, or that I might need to know about in an emergency you must inform me.

15.Alcohol and drugs. Alcohol, drugs and woodwork don’t mix-anyone that I suspect is under the influence will not be allowed to take part in any of my classes to protect them and others around them.

16.My right to amend and change these terms. I reserve the right to amend or change these terms at any time.

17. General provisions.This legal notice is governed by and construed in accorrdance with English Law. If any of these terms and conditions becomes illegal or unenforceable for any reason, all other terms will still be in effect.
